Posts & Content

Creating, scheduling, and managing posts across Google Business Profile, Facebook, and Instagram.

What is Posts & Content? The Posts module lets you create and schedule content for Google Business Profile, Facebook, and Instagram. A 5-step Smart Post Wizard is embedded directly on the Posts list page — no separate tool to navigate to.

Key Benefits:

• Multi-Platform Publishing: Create once, publish to Google Business Profile, Facebook, and Instagram simultaneously

• Bulk Targeting: Post to all locations, filter by account/country/state/region, or select specific listings

• AI Content Generation: Generate engaging post copy with hashtags from a topic brief

• Advanced Scheduling: Publish immediately or schedule for a future date and time

• Calendar View: Visualise your entire content schedule in a monthly calendar layout

• Rich Post Types: Standard posts, Events (with start/end date and time), and Offers (with coupon codes, terms, and a redemption period)

• Media Management: Upload images and video directly in the wizard; GBP images must be at least 250×250 px

• Call-to-Action Buttons (GBP only): CTA buttons are supported on Google Business Profile only. Facebook and Instagram posts ignore the CTA selection.

Navigation: Go to Dashboard → Posts — the base route redirects to the Posts list page where the wizard and post list live side by side.

Smart Post Wizard (5 steps):

Step 1: Basics — Choose post type (Standard / Event / Offer), select platforms (Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram), and set target listings:

• All brand listings — post to every location in your organisation

• Filter by account / country / region — narrow to a specific geography or brand account

• Specific listing IDs — manually select individual locations from the list

Step 2: Content & AI — Enter a topic or brief, click Generate Draft to let AI create copy with hashtags, then edit the draft and adjust hashtags as needed.

Step 3: Media — Upload images or video (multiple files supported). If Google Business Profile is selected, the wizard warns you if any image is smaller than the required 250×250 px minimum.

Step 4: Schedule, CTA & Tracking — Set publish timing (Publish Now or Schedule with a specific date/time). For Event posts set the event start and end. For Offer posts set the offer period, coupon code, offer link, and terms. Add an optional CTA button (GBP only: Book, Order, Shop, Learn More, Sign Up, Call) with a destination URL and UTM parameters (source, medium, campaign, term, content).

Step 5: Review & Submit — Preview the post summary (type, platforms, schedule, CTA, targets, and content) and click Create Post to save the draft.

Posts List View:

Below the wizard, the list shows all posts with a filter bar:

• Platform filter: Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram

• Status filter: Draft, Scheduled, Publishing, Published, Failed

• Post Type filter: Standard, Event, Offer

• Date range: From / To date pickers

• Post actions: Edit drafts, change status (e.g. trigger publishing), or delete posts

Calendar View:

Go to Dashboard → Posts → Calendar to see scheduled posts by month:

• Monthly layout: All scheduled posts organised by date

• Platform filter: View only posts for a specific platform

• Status filter: Filter by post status

• Timezone selector: Choose from a list of common timezones (UTC, US zones, Europe/London, Africa/Johannesburg, etc.) — your selection is remembered in a browser cookie

Post Status Lifecycle:

• Draft: Created but not yet scheduled or published

• Scheduled: Has a future publish date; will be automatically published by the system

• Publishing: Currently being sent to platforms (temporary state)

• Published: Successfully published to all target platforms

• Failed: Publishing encountered an error — check the post card for the error message

Important Platform Notes:

• Google Business Profile: No longer provides post performance metrics via their API (impressions, clicks, etc.)

• CTA Buttons: Only supported on GBP. The CTA selection is ignored for Facebook and Instagram posts.

• Image Requirements: GBP requires a minimum of 250×250 px; the wizard warns you automatically if an image is too small

Best Practices:

• Use AI generation as a starting point, then refine for your brand voice

• Add 4–6 relevant hashtags to increase discoverability

• Use Events for time-sensitive announcements (grand openings, special hours, sales)

• Use Offers for promotions with specific redemption codes and terms

• Target posts geographically when promotions are location-specific

• Review scheduled posts in the Calendar to ensure timing and content remain relevant

Common Use Cases:

• Announce new products, services, or menu items across all locations

• Promote seasonal sales or limited-time offers with expiration dates

• Share store hours changes for holidays or special events

• Highlight customer testimonials or success stories

• Announce new location openings or grand reopenings
